The Examination will consist of two Papers –
- Paper-I (Computer Based Examination)
- Paper-II (Descriptive Type).
- In SSC JE CBT exam negetive marking will be .0.25

SSC JE Syllabus : Tier -1
Tier-I is the first examination that a candidate has to appear in the SSC JE recruitment process. You have to prepare for three subjects which are General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Engineering.

SSC Junior Engineer Syllabus – General Awareness
- The purpose of the questions will be to test the general awareness about the environment of the candidate.
- Questions will be designed to test knowledge of current events.
- Any educated person can be expected to understand their scientific aspect.
- This test will also include questions related to India and its neighboring countries, especially related to history, culture, geography, economic scene, general politics and scientific research, sport, prizes, etc.
General Engineering (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical)
Part – A : Civil Engineering : Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Irrigation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Building Materials, Estimating, Costing and Valuation, Surveying,
